I am working on putting up supplies including the special Social Rats Soy Free Diet which comes vacuum sealed to ensure optimal freshness, cages and things like Marshall's Bi-Odor.
Marshall's Bi-Odor helps to virtually eliminate the natural smell of rats. All natural ingredients, it goes right into the rat's drinking water. Although the bottle states to use 3-5 pumps per 16 oz, this is too strong of a dose for rats. I use 1 pumps per 8 oz of water, or when I mix up a gallon, I put in 16 pumps of the Bi-Odor. I have 20+ cages of rats and one 32 oz bottle lasts me over a month.
The Social Rats Special Soy Free Rat Diet is now available for sale. This is a Soy-Free, Corn-Free, No Fillers diet for our rats.
The cost is $4 per lb, but well worth the cost as there should be very little waste, once your rat or rodent becomes accustomed to the mix

Hard Red Wheat, Spring Wheat, Barley, Millet, Thick rolled oats, buckwheat groats, rice, sunflower seeds, banana chips, dried
fruit medley (papaya, golden raisins, raisins, pineapple), pumpkin seeds, ground flax seed, wheat germ, walnuts,
dried carrots, dried tomatoes, Coconut flakes, Total cereal, nutritional yeast, almonds, pecans, dried peas and probiotics.
Changes I will NOT make: Add in Corn, Fillers or ANY SOY PRODUCTS!!!

If you can give me information, like articles or studies, on why the change should not be made, please include this information as well. If you would like to see a change made, like an ingredient added or removed from the mix, please also contact me and let me know and any research you have that supports this change. I will look into it and take any suggestions under advisement. I am not an organic nut, so most of the items in the mix are NOT organic. However, it is ALL FOOD GRADE products. My daughter likes munching on the rat food as well, so I plan to keep things as healthy as I can and keep everything food or human grade, no feed grade products, even if using feed grade products would lower the cost.
