I will be putting up supplies including the special Social Rats Soy Free Diet which comes vacuum sealed to ensure optimal freshness, cages and things like Marshall's Bi-Odor.
Marshall's Bi-Odor helps to virtually eliminate the natural smell of rats. All natural ingredients, it goes right into the rat's drinking water. Although the bottle states to use 3-5 pumps per 16 oz, this is too strong of a dose for rats. I use 1 pumps per 8 oz of water, or when I mix up a gallon, I put in 16 pumps of the Bi-Odor. I have 20+ cages of rats and one 32 oz bottle lasts me over a month.
The Social Rats Soy Free diet is specially designed based on Brown's Tropical Carnival for rats with extras to help ensure a healthy, varied diet that is nutritionally designed just for a rat's special nutritional needs. We also add in things like ground flax seed to help reduce risks of cancer as well. Social Rats have been doing a study, including much research, on the damage that soy does to our rats and have uncovered some very scary things. We have found, once a rat comes off of soy that they are healthier and more active. We even have some of our boys that use wheels now as well. Granted, some boys, like Tanner, will get into the wheel, walk ten feet, then get out, but at least they are trying. SOme of our younger boys are really running in them. Our girls that we bred or got while still in litter have not gone into heat as quickly, so believe that their biological clocks are starting to return to normal as well.
